Microsoft Power Apps

Business apps built with Power Apps for mobile and browser

Power Apps lets you build business apps fast, without a long software project. We design, build and roll out apps that connect to SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and the systems you already use, and work on phones, tablets and in the browser.

  • Apps for phones, tablets and the browser
  • On SharePoint, Microsoft Lists or your existing systems
  • Focused apps live within a few weeks
  • User training at go-live
  • Support after go-live

In short: Ofekpoint builds business apps with Power Apps for organisations in Israel: scoping, development, roll-out and support, for phones, tablets and the browser. The apps connect to SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and existing systems. For example, Barzilai Medical Center's visitor management system went live within a week.

What is Power Apps

Custom apps for your organisation, built fast.

Microsoft Power Apps is an environment for rapidly building custom business apps. The apps connect to your organisation's data, whether it lives in Microsoft Dataverse, in SharePoint or in other data sources, in the cloud or on your own servers.

The apps adapt to any screen: they run in the browser, on phones and on tablets. You can also build an app on top of a list you already have in SharePoint or Microsoft Lists, and turn it into a tool your people are happy to use.

What we build

Apps people use every day.

Examples of apps we build with Power Apps:

  • Visitor check-in and management

Registering visitors and staff at the entrance, with QR codes and kiosks. That's how we built Barzilai Medical Center's system.

  • Room and resource management

One live view of rooms and resources across every department, instead of each department doing it its own way.

  • Shift scheduling and availability

Staff scheduling and availability in real time, so it's clear who is available, at night too.

  • Requests and approvals

Purchase, leave or expense requests that follow a clear approval path, with an alert for whoever needs to approve.

  • Forms for field work

Forms on phones and tablets: take photos and videos, collect signatures, and everything is saved straight into the system.

  • An app on top of your existing data

A friendly interface over SharePoint lists, Excel files or existing systems, without moving the data.

Why Power Apps

Why work with experienced developers

Power Apps is built for low-code, but a stable, secure and easy-to-use app needs people who know the platform and Microsoft 365 in depth: the right data structure, permissions, connections to existing systems and long-term maintenance.

  • Solves your business challenge

When there's no off-the-shelf product that fits, Power Apps lets you build a solution that matches exactly what you need.

  • Access from anywhere

The apps work on phones, tablets and in the browser, so your people can use them anywhere. On mobile they can also take photos, attach videos, sign and fill in forms.

  • Fast, low-code development

Power Apps is a low-code platform, so apps are quicker to build and change. Even people without a development background can build simple apps themselves.

  • Cost efficiency

Traditional software development is slower and more expensive. With Power Apps, development time is short, and so is the cost.

How we work

From the first call to go-live.

  1. Intro call

We learn the need, your current systems and the goal. No commitment.

  2. Scope and proposal

Together we define what we'll build, how long it will take and what it will cost.

  3. Build in stages

We work in short Agile sprints, and you see progress all the way.

  4. Roll-out and support

We train your users, go live and stay available for support.

The first step: a short intro call, no commitment.

Case studies

Three hospitals. Three systems live, fast.

All case studies →
  • Visitor management

    Barzilai Medical Center

    Live within a week

During COVID the hospital had to register every visitor and every staff member, fast. The system went live within a week. At the time, about 11,000 staff check-ins went through it every week, and visitors entered with a QR code.

  • Room management

Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov)

    One system for every department

Each department managed its rooms its own way, with no shared system. We built one room management system on the Power Platform.

  • Medical staff scheduling

    Hillel Yaffe Medical Center

    Live within 12 weeks

Doctors were scheduled by hand, and at night it wasn't always clear who was available. We built a scheduling and availability system for all staff on Microsoft 365, and went live within 12 weeks.

FAQ

Power Apps questions we get asked

Do we need an extra licence to use Power Apps?

Most Microsoft 365 plans let you use Power Apps with standard connectors, such as SharePoint, Excel and Outlook. Apps that use Dataverse or premium connectors, for example to connect to external systems, need a Power Apps Premium licence. We'll check your exact licensing in the first call.

How long does it take to build an app?

It depends on the scope. A focused app can go live within a few weeks: Barzilai Medical Center's visitor management system went live within a week. Larger systems we build in stages, so some features are available along the way.

Will the app work on mobile?

Yes. Power Apps apps run in the Power Apps app for iOS and Android, in the browser and inside Microsoft Teams. We design them for the screen your people actually use.

Can the app connect to the systems we already have?

In most cases, yes. Power Apps has hundreds of ready-made connectors, for SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel and many other services. Where there's no connector, we can connect through an API. We'll check this in the intro call.

What's the difference between Power Apps and Power Automate?

Power Apps is the part your people see: the screens, forms and lists they work in. When something needs to happen behind the scenes, such as an approval or an update to another system, a Power Automate flow does it. Most of our projects combine the two.

What happens after the app goes live?

Ofekpoint trains your users and stays available for support and maintenance of the app, including changes and additions. The support team is available 24/6.
