Microsoft Power BI

Reports and dashboards with Power BI all your data on one screen

Power BI connects the data from your organisation's systems and shows it in clear reports and dashboards that update on their own. We scope, build and roll out the reports, so management sees the full picture and decides based on data.

  • One dashboard for the whole organisation
  • Clear visualisation
  • Business intelligence capabilities
  • Saves money
  • Easy to use

In short: Ofekpoint implements Power BI for organisations: management reports and dashboards that connect to existing systems and refresh automatically. The service covers needs assessment, a feasibility check, development and roll-out. Based in Petah Tikva, Israel, since 2015.

What is Power BI

From the data you already have, to insight.

Information is one of any organisation's most important assets: data about customers, marketing channels, employee efficiency, stock, and much more that builds up in your systems. When there's a lot of data and it's hard to master, it's time for business intelligence tools.

Microsoft Power BI is designed for management reports and dashboards based on the data already in your systems. It connects to different data sources and arranges the information so it's easy to read and understand, and any report can be shared with a colleague or a team.

Worth knowing: Power BI works with the data you have. If your data is in disorder, we'll start by sorting it out.

What a Power BI project includes

Reports management actually looks at.

How we run a Power BI project:

  • Full assessment of your needs

We review with you which reports and data you need, and where they come from.

  • Feasibility check

We check that the data is available and organised enough before we start building.

  • Implementation strategy

A clear plan for rolling out Power BI: data sources, permissions and sharing.

  • Integrated planning, budgeting and reporting

Reports that connect planning, budget and actual results.

  • Transparency and accountability

You see what's done at every step, and know exactly what you're getting.

  • Prompt delivery

We work in short stages, so the first reports are available quickly.

Why Power BI

A friendly, easy-going team

You work directly with the people building your reports, on equal terms.

  • See what's happening, and what's coming

Power BI shows not only what happened in the past and what's happening now, but also data and trends that may affect the future.

  • Forecasts and what-if scenarios

Built-in machine learning spots patterns in the data, offers forecasts and lets you compare several scenarios before you decide.

  • Connects to many systems

Power BI connects to SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365, and to systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Spark, Hadoop and Mailchimp.

  • Information security

Each report is shared only with the people allowed to see it, at Microsoft's level of security.

How we work

From the first call to go-live.

  1. Intro call

We learn the need, your current systems and the goal. No commitment.

  2. Scope and proposal

Together we define what we'll build, how long it will take and what it will cost.

  3. Build in stages

We work in short Agile sprints, and you see progress all the way.

  4. Roll-out and support

We train your users, go live and stay available for support.

Book an intro call

The first step: a short intro call, no commitment.

Case studies

Three hospitals. Three systems live, fast.

All case studies →
  • Room management

Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov)

    One system for every department

Each department managed its rooms its own way, with no shared system. We built one room management system on the Power Platform.

  • Medical staff scheduling

    Hillel Yaffe Medical Center

    Live within 12 weeks

Doctors were scheduled by hand, and at night it wasn't always clear who was available. We built a scheduling and availability system for all staff on Microsoft 365, and went live within 12 weeks.

FAQ

Power BI questions we get asked

Do we need a Power BI licence?

To share reports inside your organisation you usually need a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User licence, or dedicated capacity in larger organisations. Some Microsoft 365 plans already include Power BI Pro. We'll check your exact licensing in the first call.

Our data is messy. Can we still start?

Yes, but we'll start by sorting it out. Power BI shows the data you have, so part of the project is organising and connecting your data sources.

Do the reports update by themselves?

Yes. Power BI can refresh the data automatically, so the reports show current information, refreshed as often as you decide.

Can we see the reports on mobile?

Yes. There's a Power BI mobile app, and reports can also be shown inside Teams and SharePoint.

Which systems does Power BI connect to?

Hundreds of data sources: Excel, SharePoint, SQL Server, Dynamics 365, SAP, Salesforce, Google Analytics and more. We'll check your sources in the intro call.
